Selfridges says a GTA 6 experience starts on 9 November. Here's what we can confirm
Selfridges has posted that the world of Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to Selfridges from 9 November. The post gives a date and little else: no store, no details and nothing from Rockstar yet.
Selfridges, the British department store, has told its followers to get ready for GTA VI. Its Instagram post of 5 November says customers can “experience the world of Grand Theft Auto VI at Selfridges from 9 November 2026”, and points them to a link in its bio and to its Selfridges Unlocked membership. Confirmed.
The six-second video shows a neon Vice City sign, the Selfridges name and the date, 09.11.26. That’s all of it.
What isn’t known yet
- Which stores. Neither the post nor the video names one. A lot of coverage says London, and social media accounts have listed all four Selfridges stores: Oxford Street, the Birmingham Bullring, and Manchester’s Trafford Centre and Exchange Square. Selfridges hasn’t said so in anything we could read. Rumoured.
- What it is. It could be a shop, a display or something you walk through. “Experience” could mean any of those. The London events page on Selfridges’ site didn’t mention it when we read it on 5 November.
- Whether it costs anything, or whether you need to book or be a member. The post mentions the membership programme “to be in the know”, which doesn’t tell you either way.
- Rockstar’s part in it. There’s nothing on the Newswire so far. The Vice City branding suggests a formal tie-in, but that’s our inference and neither company has described it.
The Vice City window came first
Selfridges’ Oxford Street store already has a Vice City scene among its “Christmas and the City” windows. A local report by Surrey Extra, which went to see it, says Selfridges hasn’t linked the window to Rockstar. Now that the store is using the name for its own promotion, the connection looks a lot less like a coincidence.
The date also fits the launch run-up: 9 November is the day of Take-Two’s results, one day before pre-load opens and ten days before the game. It’s the first big British tie-in we’ve seen, following Rockstar’s campaign in Miami.
We’ll update this page once Selfridges says more or the doors open. If you’re going, tell us what’s there.
