The six regions of Leonida, explained

A guide to the six regions of GTA 6's state of Leonida — Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga, Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia — and how to explore each on the map.

How sure we are. Region names and the Vice City / Leonida setting are Confirmed by trailers. Boundaries between regions are our editorial reconstruction and are labelled as such on the map. What the labels mean.

Leonida is the fictional state — a stand-in for Florida — where GTA 6 takes place. To make the world navigable before launch, we group it into six regions. Some of these names come straight from Rockstar’s materials; the exact borders between them are our reconstruction, and the map is honest about that.

Use this as a mental map, then filter the live Leonida Map by any region to see the confidence-labelled points we’ve placed there.

Vice City

The neon heart of Leonida and the returning centrepiece of the game. A dense, modern coastal city — beaches, high-rises, nightlife. This is where most trailer footage is set, so it has the most Confirmed locations. See Vice City on the map →

Leonida Keys

A Keys-style island chain trailing off the southern coast: bridges, marinas, small settlements, water everywhere. Great for boats; sparse but distinctive. Explore the Keys →

Grassrivers

The Everglades analogue — wetlands, airboats, backcountry. Low-density but atmospheric, and a likely home for rural storylines. Explore Grassrivers →

Mount Kalaga

The elevated, inland-nature region: higher ground, parks, forest. A change of pace from the coast. Boundaries here are more inferred than shown, so expect more Likely-labelled points. Explore Mount Kalaga →

Port Gellhorn

An industrial port district — docks, shipping, working waterfront. The kind of place Rockstar builds missions around. Explore Port Gellhorn →

Ambrosia

The quieter, residential/suburban stretch. Less trailer coverage means more of its points are reconstructions pending confirmation. Explore Ambrosia →

As new trailers and community verification arrive, region boundaries and point placements get refined, and the confidence labels move with the evidence. That’s the whole idea: the map improves in public, and you can always see how sure we are.
